Heather Perry and the _______s may be relative newcomers toChicago's music scene, but you'd never know it from listening totheir new EP, These Appetites. Perry's unique, mature songwritinginstantly creates an utterly distinctive mood. The title track'srolling piano lures the listener into her arena, guiding youtowards the aural centerpiece of her one-of-a-kind voice- powerfulbut beautiful, sultry but understated, firm but gentle, emotivebut analytical. A haunting guitar, chiming just underneath thesurface, joins in. Then…a second voice in harmony, a steady drumline…and finally the song explodes dynamically into the choruswith a wash of guitar and soaring vocals, only to eventuallyrecede again behind her supple tenor for another round.
Claude Kent made an impression on Toronto’s independent music scene through the 80’s and 90’s pounding skins for a number of notables (The Fits, The Red, The Gravelberrys, Katie's Bridge). During his tenure as drummer for Katie’s Bridge, Claude met current Clockwise guitarist, Brent Welbourn. Claude had been sitting on a drum throne as well as a number of his own compositions for too long and was ready to explore possibilities as front-man and principle songwriter for his own project, Clockwise.

A singer from Portugal, the voice of Adriana comes slowly. Passes first off, in a discrete game of seduction, as if not noticed us, but know that we have no where to escape. Do not give us a hand and not drag it to the force. Vai involving us sweetly, with wandering in the midst of pop light, levezinha you navigate freely between the jazz, the bossa nova and Portuguese music without age. As the balance of each syllable, wrapped in a delicious wrap rhythm, goes hand in hand with a simple melodies almost child and therefore almost perfeitas.À is the case with the more elaborate seduction female, the voice of Adriana makes us believe that we were acquired. But, reflecting a bit, did not take long to realize that we were to extend her hand, asking to stay with us and the secrets over and over again the same words that we already know by heart.

After a critically acclaimed and hugely popular two year stint playing to over a million people in 600+ shows in the smash hit West End production of Joseph, Lee Mead finally hung up his technicolour dream coat to embark on an exciting new musical chapter in his career. The new offering is an eclectic mix of some of Lee’s favourite tracks as well as brand new material written especially for the album. Produced and arranged by indie rock icon, Eric Bachmann (Archers Of Loaf, Crooked Fingers, Azure Ray), "Outside Our Gates" represents a sonic leap forward for Liz Durrett. Her spare, acoustic downbeats have been supplanted by a more textured and diverse orchestra of sounds. A virtual cacophony of instruments are here (strings, wurlitzers, accordions, grand space pianos, and marching drums) and Bachmann's score somehow harmonizes them seamlessly to provide the perfect setting for Liz's near stream of consciousness writings and soft, pitch-perfect voice. Additional performances by Vic Chesnutt, Brian Causey (Man Or Astro-Man?), Amanda Kapousouz (Tin Cup Phrophette), and members of Ham1.

Born in a small town in Oregon, Justin grew up singing along to Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and the Eagles. Big sound and layered harmonies did something to his heart. With lyrical heroes like Bill Mallonee and John Lennon, Justin was inspired to take a personal and honest approach to songwriting. Faith, affliction, prevailing; his songs touch on things he's dealt with in his own life. With sincerity and emotive texture, intricate guitar and stick-in-your-head melodies Justin Bennett sounds at home in his songs and hopes the listener will too find a home in his art.

Mind How You Go is Skye Edwards' debut solo album, following her departure from Morcheeba. Despite anticipation by fans, the album achieved limited success in the UK as a result of insufficient promotion. It was more successful in other parts of Europe, particularly Poland, France, Italy and Switzerland.
Theresa Andersson may be Swedish, but she lives in New Orleans. That geographical and cultural span actually sums up Andersson’s music fairly well; its melding of the kind of impeccably managed pop one tends to think of in reference to Sweden and something rougher and more handmade. Andersson recorded the album in her kitchen, playing almost all of the instruments herself (and writing all of the music, although Jennifer Faust and producer Tobias Fr?berg provide the lyrics), and much to their credit, Hummingbird, Go! only sounds like the kind of small, intimate record that implies when Andersson and company want it to.
